1980 - 1987

1981 Present day Competition Secretary " Chris Rew" took office. (He is now honorary Life Member of the Association.)

Derrick Llewellyn took over Vice Presidents' Fund and re organised it to become a vital income source for funding.

1982 Affiliated to the EIBA. Executive member Dudley Bennett became President EBA

1984 Neutral Green rule abolished. Challengers could now play their games at home.

1985 Drug testing recommended for competitions by EBA. "Never taken up"

90th Anniversary. Founders match held at Bounds Green.

Special lapel badge struck.

Honorary Life Membership awarded to the "Bounds Green Club"

1986 Executive reduced from 21 members to 15 with all Past Presidents having the right to attend and vote at meetings.

1987 AGM to be permanently held at " Bounds Green B.C."
