Eligibility
to play: -
|
|
All members of
Outdoor Affiliated Clubs will be eligible to play for the Association
in Outdoor Matches. Every effort will be made to give each applicant
at least one game.
Policy:- Members will not be selected
to play against their own Club or County. |

| 4. |
Whenever
possible, friends will be selected for the same match to ease
travelling expenses. Ensure that your travelling partner(s) name(s)
are on EACH application together with the usual relevant
details. We require the full details of each applicant taking part in
the Match Programme. Matches are only allocated against application
forms. The Association would be grateful if when applying for a
match you do not over estimate your abilities. It does not necessarily
follow that if you play skip for you Club you a capable of playing the
same position at a County level. |

Association
Blazer Badges: -
|
|
Blazer Badges
are awarded to Members playing in at least one qualifying game for
three bowling years (Not necessarily consecutive). A 'Bowling Year' is
from October 1st of one year to September 30th of the next and
therefore because a match is played in two separate years they may not
be in two 'Bowling Years'. Only the first qualifying match in any
'Bowling Year' given 'A' Status counts towards the Blazer Badge
qualification. |

Association
Year Books
|
|
The current
edition contains addresses and telephone numbers of all Affiliated
Clubs, both Outdoor and Indoor. The book is available to all
playing members, cost, £2.50 [inc p & p] Copies are available
from the Hon. General Secretary and cheques should be made payable to
London & Southern Counties B.A. |

Selection
Dates: -
|
|
Teams are
normally selected four weeks prior to the week of the match concerned
although replacement selections will have shorter notice. It is
essential you send in your application as early as possible. Further
applications for more matches can be accepted at a later date by
submitting another application form. Please ensure that all details
asked for on the match application form are duly completed. |

Dress:
-
|
|
Dress for all
matches will be Club Blazer (with Association Badge, if awarded),
Association Tie, White Trousers, White Shirt, White Socks and
regulation bowling shoes. |

| 9. |
Arrival
at matches: -
|
|
Players selected for
matches are expected to arrive at the venue at least 20 minutes prior
to the scheduled start of the game. If delayed they should contact the
Club and inform the Match Secretary or his deputy of their estimated
time of arrival. Players will be substituted if this instruction is
not adhered to. |

Hon. Vice
Presidents' Match: -
|
|
Selection for
these matches is restricted to current members of the Hon.
Vice Presidents' Fund. Membership is open to all players from
Affiliated Clubs. Life Membership is £15.00 (Including a lapel badge)
or Annual Membership is available at £2.00 (Lapel badge £1.50
extra). If you hold an Annual Membership it is essential that payments
are kept up to date. Membership Application Forms are available at all
matches, from the Match Secretary or the Fund Chairman. |
