Gentlemen,
It is with a certain amount of
trepidation that I take on the post of President for the Association for
the years 2002 / 2003, it is both an honour and a great responsibility
and I sincerely hope I may do it justice on both counts.
I thank Whiteknights Indoor Bowls Club
(Reading) for their support of my application to become Junior Vice
President in 2000 and for their continuing support through until
now, it is very much appreciated. This will be the first time in their
history that they will have a member who is a London & Southern
Counties President and I hope I may be worthy of their trust.
I sincerely hope all those bowlers who
have supported the Association over the years will continue to do so and
enjoy the benefit of playing for such an old established organisation. I
thank the members of the Executive Committee for their help during the
past two years and hope we may all continue to work together to keep the
name of London & Southern Counties Bowling Association at the
forefront of Bowls.
May I wish all affiliated clubs and
their members good bowling in the coming year and to those entering our
competitions every success.
